About Stogursey Arts Photographic Society

The Stogursey Arts Photographic Society (“SAPS”) began meeting in October 2022, following an appeal in the Stogursey News for anyone with an interest in photography.

We now meet on the second Thursday of every month - weather and daylight permitting, we are out and about in the local area, otherwise we can be found, sitting around a table, discussing the art and techniques of photography.

We aim to provide an inclusive, creative group, hosted in the parish, to meet, share and discuss common interests. Photography can be a very solitary pursuit and it is easy to end up ‘in a rut’ - the diverse interests and backgrounds of the regular members provides the perfect antidote, stretching our creativity out of our respective comfort zones.

Equally importantly, we hope to create and share an archive of village life and this website forms an important part of that whilst we also aim to produce a physical exhibition, accessible to all, not just the Internet-savvy.
